Carrol Chiramel is a picture editor and alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) in The Norman Jewison Film Program 2022. He started his career in Mumbai in the Indian film industry in 1999. His experience working with filmmakers across the globe in multiple languages has helped him evolve as an editor with a difference. Under the Same Sun, a feature he edited, received the Audience Award at the Heartland Film Festival, and Meet the Parents won the best short film at the prestigious African Movie Academy Awards. Comedy Short Film Forbidden Tikka Masala had a great run at the festivals, and later it got featured in Omeleto and TIFF’s digital platform. Working in the Indian and Canadian Cinema has helped him inculcate an astute sense of both Indian and international cinema, a blend of which becomes the hallmark of his works. His latest edited TV series project Potluck Ladies will be airing on YesTV and Hollywood Suites. Carroll comes with a blend of old school and new school in creativity and techniques of filmmaking.
