WHO ARE WE
WHO ARE WE
About me
I’m Carroll Chiramel, a picture editor shaped by two film worlds Mumbai’s vibrant film and TV industry, where I began in 1999, and Canada’s creative landscape, where I trained at the Canadian Film Centre’s Norman Jewison Film Program. Working across cultures, languages, and genres has given me a storytelling instinct that blends the emotional sweep of world cinema with the precision of international filmmaking.
My work has travelled widely: Under the Same Sun won the Audience Award at the Heartland Film Festival, Meet the Parents earned Best Short Film at the African Movie Academy Awards, and Forbidden Tikka Masala reached global audiences through Omeleto and TIFF’s digital platform. I edited the comedy web series 18to35 airing on BellFibe TV, and the TV series Potluck Ladies, a SeriesFest winner and CSA nominee, currently airing on YesTV and Hollywood Suites.
I bring a mix of old‑school intuition and new‑school technique to every project, cutting with instinct, rhythm, and a deep respect for story.
